FINANCE DIVISION

The Finance Division is a newly created division thus making the fourth of the major divisions of the hospital. It is headed by the Financial Management Officer II (FMO II). It has only one major process based on its nature, functions and relationships on the hospital set-up and operations. Its process, Finance Resource Management comprises Accounting, Billing and Claims, Budget and Cash Operations . Each Section is headed by a Section Head and being assisted by a staff in implementing its work procedures and instructions for them to deliver quality financial management services to their clients.

• Provision of timely, accurate and responsive financial management support services to internal and external clients towards quality health care.

• To ensure timely provision of accurate and responsive financial management support services to all our clients.

1. Directs and coordinates all financial matters or/relating to income generation and expenditures of the hospital.
2. Oversees financial reporting and provides financial support and data to various departments.
3. Oversees Cash Flow Planning and ensure availability of funds as needed and the preparation and communication of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements/reports for submission to Commission on Audit (COA), Department of Health- Central Office (DOH-CO) and Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
4. Ensures compliance to legal and statutory requirements in connection to accounting/ financial processes and reporting.
5. Ensures timeliness, accuracy and usefulness of financial reporting.
6. Monitors the following activities of the hospital:
   • Monthly status of PHIC reimbursement
   • Monthly quantified free service
   • Monthly availability of funds to support hospital operations
   • Monthly collection of revenues for enhancement of hospital activities
   • Monthly review of utilization of income for direct patient care
   • Reviews and signs financial reports and other documents
